The GISCD represented by Eng. Maitha Al Nuaimi, Director of the GISC participated in the MENA Geospatial Forum 2024, which served as a platform to expand geospatial horizons, exchange experiences, and enhance collaboration among experts and practitioners. Eng. Meitha Al Nuaimi chaired the panel discussion for GIS leaders, highlighting several topics, including strategies to enhance collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure fast and accurate data access. Additionally, challenges and opportunities in building a comprehensive geospatial ecosystem were discussed. On the second day of the forum, Al Nuaimi presented a project on Dubai's Digital Twin, a 3D digital replica of the emirate containing maps and information on all facilities, landmarks, infrastructure, and government assets to support city planning and management efforts, aiming for leadership in providing the best services and adopting innovative technological solutions.
