The GISCD at Dubai Municipality has achieved a new milestone by meeting the requirements of ISO 19115 standard, and receiving a recognition from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the second consecutive time. This internationally recognized standard for geospatial metadata provides users and strategic partners with suitable geospatial data for their business applications. Therefore, such recognition is essential for the GISCD in order to maintain a standard metadata for all geospatial layers.
