The GISC Department in Dubai Municipality welcomed Dr. Linda Loubert, from Morgan State University in US, the researcher of GIS science and its most important use areas. Eng. Maitha Al-Nuaimi Acting Director of GIS Center, gave a presentation on best practices in the geospatial field and the most important projects, initiatives and technologies the Center has reached, which aim to provide a comprehensive and updated database for Dubai. Dr. Linda has shown her interests and admiration for the modern technologies used in extracting and analyzing geospatial data, and the efforts made to promote the center's global leadership in the field of GIS.
