In continuation of Dubai Municipality's efforts to lead the digital transformation in the building and construction sector in Dubai, the GIS Center participated in the BIM Middle East 2020 Conference & Expo. In the opening session, Maitha Ali Al Nuaimi, GIS Network Section Manager, presented the latest progress in Dubai BIM Roadmap project and announced the working group that was established by the municipality to lead the digital transformation in construction sector in Dubai. She also announced the establishment of UAE's local chapter of BuildingSMART organization. Dubai Municipality has also participated in the panel discussion session, where Dr. Ali Ismail, BIM Expert at the center, has answered the attendees inquiries about the Municipality and its partners' orientations regarding digital transformation and BIM implementation.
