The Dubai Municipality, represented by GIS Centre, has developed the 'Dubai Here' electronic system that is accessible on web browser or smart devices and features 2D and 3D maps of Dubai's assets, landmarks, infrastructure facilities, buildings, units, service networks, economic activities information, as well as environment, health and population information. Furthermore, it can be used by different governmental entities for various purposes.
The system displays maps from the geospatial database, which all entities can contribute to and update. That is why the cooperation between all entities, sharing and updating the information are considered a key factor to achieve the desired benefit from the system.
The system is being developed and the comprehensive geospatial database is being processed in stages.
