In order to enhance strategic partnerships between government entities and participate in building a sustainable city, the GIS Center in Dubai Municipality organized a visual electronic meeting with the directors and employees of the Directorate General of Dubai Civil Defense where geospatial initiatives were identified and the importance of data for the emirate and its role in support Dubai's vision and Dubai's 2021 plan to be the smartest city globally. The technologies used in the center, such as the geospatial vehicle and panoramic images, were also presented, in addition to introduc ing the “Dubai here" system and the geographical addressing system “Makani".
